BayShop Limited Warranty Terms
We stand by the quality of our products and are committed to resolving any issues that may arise from manufacturing defects, subject to the terms outlined below. This Limited Warranty applies exclusively to products purchased from BayShop or authorised retailers and used solely for personal, residential purposes.
1. Warranty Duration

The warranty period begins from the original delivery date.
2. What is Covered
This limited warranty covers manufacturing defects under normal residential use. The scope of coverage is limited to the following product-specific components:
2.1 Latex Mattresses, Latex Toppers and Latex Pillows
The latex mattress, topper and pillow warranty covers the following:

Visible indentations in the latex core measuring 1 inch (2.5cm) or more, or exceeding 20% of the mattress’s original height (As aligned with European Commission Directive 2009/598/EC), provided the mattress or topper has been used on a firm, supportive, and compatible foundation that prevents sagging or uneven wear;

Cracks or splits in the latex core that affect structural integrity, provided the product has been used with proper support.
2.2 Adjustable Bed Bases
The adjustable bed base warranty covers the following:

Electrical components (motor, remote, control box) that fail under normal use during the warranty period.

Mechanical malfunctions in moving parts (e.g. head and leg lift actuators).
-
Weld breaks or structural failure of the steel frame (5 years coverage).
2.3 Divan Bed Frame
The divan bed frame warranty covers the following:
-
Structural failure due to poor workmanship or materials.
-
Detachment or misalignment of fixed parts not caused by misuse.
3. What is Not Covered
BayShop's Limited Warranty excludes:
-
Normal wear and tear, including minor softening of foam or latex over time.
-
Personal comfort preferences such as firmness level.
-
Physical damage to the product due to mould, burns, stains, spills, bodily fluids, cuts, etc.
-
Stains, odors, or mould caused by moisture exposure due to natural humidity levels.
-
Damage due to improper setup, use, poor ventilation, or poor handling
-
Damage caused by mishandling, abuse, or using the product on an unsuitable surface (e.g. slatted base with gaps > 7.5cm).

Commercial, rental, institutional, or non-residential use
-
Folding, compressing, or storing the mattress/topper improperly.
-
Compressed mattress with failure to unbox within 30 days of delivery
-
Electrical damage due to power surges, modifications or tampering (adjustable beds).
-
Products without valid proof of purchase or those sold as display models, samples, or "as-is".
4. Warranty Remedies
If a defect is confirmed within the warranty period, BayShop may, at its sole discretion:

Repair the product

Replace it with the same or comparable model
-
Provide a partial credit (based on the amortisation schedule) toward the purchase of a new product
Exact model replacements are not guaranteed. Comparable replacements will be offered if original materials are discontinued.
5. Amortisation (Depreciation Schedule)
BayShop’s warranty is pro-rated after the first year to reflect natural aging and usage.

Example: A valid claim in Year 6 will entitle you to a 40% credit toward the repair or replacement cost. This depreciation applies only to the product value; transport, inspection, and delivery fees are borne by the customer.
6. Customer Responsibilities
To maintain your warranty coverage:

Use the product on a flat, firm, and well-ventilated surface.

Ensure slatted bed bases have gaps no wider than 7.5cm (3 inches).

Do not expose the latex core or mattress to direct sunlight or store it in damp or humid conditions.

Avoid dragging, folding, or jumping on the mattress.
-
Unpack compressed mattresses within 30 days of delivery.
-
Follow operating instructions for adjustable beds. Do not overload or modify electrical parts.
Failure to follow these guidelines will void the warranty.

8. Additional Conditions and Disclaimers

This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

BayShop reserves the right to deny claims that fall outside the coverage terms or lack sufficient documentation.

Replacement or repair of a product under warranty does not restart or extend the original warranty period.

Warranty coverage is limited to the remedies outlined above.

BayShop shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to, loss of use, inconvenience, or commercial loss.
Warranty coverage is void if:

Product is used with incompatible or unsupportive bed bases (e.g., slats spaced wider than 7 cm)
-
Product is kept in damp or humid conditions
-
Product is damaged due to neglect, folding, or improper storage
9. Governing Law
This Limited Warranty is governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
